Happy November! Halloween is over, the crisp air (though not the snow!?) is here, There are enough leaves on the ground now to make a satisfying crunch as you walk along, and as of Sunday daylight savings time is over. Before we know it the Holidays will be upon us! In addition to that wonderful Holiday of Thanksgiving, my family also celebrates two birthdays this month! We are a busy bunch!
I hope that you had a wonderfully happy, safe, and trick or treat filled Halloween. If you are like us, you have a TON of candy left over that is just leaving a ton of sugarbugs on those sweet little teeth. My sister in law actually has a fantastic idea of a "good witch" that comes and takes that candy to those poor little kids that didn't get any. Her children leave the candy on the porch, and they later find that the good witch had visited them, taken their candy, and left a thank-you present. How perfect is that? It gets the candy out of the house (and off your hips!), and teaches your children compassion. It also teaches them that when they do nice and good things, good things will come back to them. It is a great idea!
