Welcome to Aurora Macaroni Kid

A letter from the publisher

By Vicki Little September 19, 2012
Fall is in the air! I am getting so excited! I love walking my son to school and enjoying the smells and colors and fresh air and not arriving back home sweaty. The cooler weather has also been bringing out many little creatures which we have been discovering on our walks. My children are so sweet putting the ladybugs and roly poly's back into the grass. They stare at the wiggly worms and sigh and feel bad for the ones that are dried up. Unfortunately, our neighbor has also found a big green salamander on his back porch and my son and husband found a gardner snake on their walk home. Not my idea of cute, but they create fun learning experiences regardless.

When I was reading my fellow publisher mom's newsletter for Douglas County, I learned that September is National Women's Friendship month. As I grow older, I am realizing how important having other women's support and friendship is. I think it is the perfect time and opportunity to tell those women in your life how much they mean to you!

I also want to thank the reader that let me know about Bono's BBQ Kids Eat Free weekends! When I called to verify, I also found out that they have a kidless eat cheap special where you can get one appetizer and two entrees for only $29.99 on Sundays! Great date night idea :).
