Ice Cream in a Bag

You will need:

  • 1 quart-sized zipper bag (Ziploc style)
  • 1 gallon-sized zipper bag
  • 1/2-cup milk or half & half (I prefer half & half)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • Ice cubes
  • 6 tablespoons rock salt
  • Sprinkles, syrup, or other embellishments, if desired

What you'll do:

Pour the milk, sugar, and vanilla into the smaller zipper bag, and seal it. Fill the larger bag half-way full of ice, and add the rock salt. Place the smaller bag (still sealed) into the larger bag, and seal the larger bag. Shake until the mixture is ice cream! Open the larger bag, pull the smaller bag out, wipe the top clean, embellish, and enjoy!
