Description
The Fourth of July is a great time to celebrate with family and friends, but it is a holiday that can be isolating for our sensitive community members because fireworks can be challenging! The Autism Community Store is a safe, inclusive space for our community to participate in the sensory magic of this day.
We will have fun activities, hot dogs (Gluten Free options available), as well as refreshments. Join us for a hot dog, bring a
picnic, or just come to see the fireworks! We have a great view of the City of Aurora fireworks display and will reserve a viewing area behind the store. Fireworks can be seen from our Community Room or from the lawn and parking lot outside.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the grass or parking lot. The Sensory Cave will be open, and the Sensory Bus will be on site for anyone who needs a break, and noise-reducing headphones will be available.
Fireworks at 9:30pm
