Traveling is something that has been missing in the last year and was definitely much needed. It is even more exciting when you are going to someplace you have never been before. Dominican Republic has been on my bucket list for a while and I figured it might be a while before I got to visit. Even though the first trip was a solo trip, this is really an amazing country to go to with the whole family.
Meliá Caribe Beach Resort is a family-friendly resort that can also be great couples getaway with adult-only options. Did I mention that this amazing resort is an all-inclusive resort? Let me tell you about all-inclusive... drinks, food, and activities all included. Yes, you definitely heard me correctly that all your drinks (alcohol too), food, and activities are included. You always have an option to upgrade alcohol, special meal add-ons, spa services, and additional activities on and off the resort. Trust me the ALL-INCLUSIVE alone is enough.

Room options are aplenty, from rooms for couples to adjoining rooms for families. There is planning in the works for our family and another family to travel to Meliá Caribe Beach Resort and get adjoining rooms, which will allow the kids to go between the rooms with just a connecting hallway.

Since we are talking about family-friendly, let’s discuss the water park that the kids will LOVE and never want to leave. They have the perfect little splash area for them to get wet and be independent, then of course there is a bigger water park for older kids, and let’s be honest, for the kid at heart.

Looking for a little adventure off the resort? Check out Bebe Catamaran. They offer a great ½ day cruise out at sea with snorkeling and time hanging out on a natural beach in the ocean. The area where you get to snorkel has natural reefs, colorful fish, and allows for the opportunity to take in the amazing views of Punta Cana. The natural beach in the ocean is a bit surreal – you are out in the ocean and are standing there enjoying being the water, having a cocktail, and living your best life.

Lastly, as you spend the day enjoying the pool, spa, or hanging at the beach, make sure to get a little rest before the evening. The evening activities are just as RICH as the daytime activities, and you are not going to want to miss out. As the kids say today, the activities/shows are “LIT.”
