Not your average Pizzeria!

Check it out for yourself

Hey you, yeah you! Have you checked out that locally owned pizzeria off Quincy and Buckley?  Oh you haven’t, well, let us share with you some details that make this place stand out.

Let’s start off with the fact that Wood Paddle Pizza and Tap is locally owned, and we LOVE supporting locally owned small businesses in the community.  They even support students within the Aurora community for a work program at the high school level.  They are family friendly as well. We would love to share with you the fun things that they have for the kiddos.

Upon arriving at Wood Paddle Pizza and Tap, we were greeted by the manager who guided us through the ordering process and let us know what their most popular pizzas were.  She even helped the kids mix different flavors of Jones Soda’s to make the best combinations! Once we ordered, the kids played some of the arcade games and were even given pizza dough to play with and create their own special dessert donut.  Trust me when I say all the kids (even the grown up ones!) were entertained.

Pizza is not the only thing on the menu, they have sandwiches and salads too!  The pizzas are big enough to share or enough for two meals. The gluten free pizza crust is like no other, delicious doughy and just the right amount of flavoring. They offer a few specialty sandwiches, like a Philly Cheese steak.  We did not get the opportunity to try out the salads, I bet they are just as delicious as the rest. The kids mac n’ cheese is cheesy and scrumptious, not from a box.

At the end of the meal, the kids have the opportunity to turn their dough into donuts with a little cinnamon and sugar.  They also have gelato and other desserts to offer.

They have a great variety of beers on tap, and on Wednesdays they offer half-priced bottles of wine with the purchase of a pizza. Every day they create a new pizza, and every week they offer a new kind of Mac n’ Cheese.
