Camp Christmas

at The Hangar

By Kristin Kindred, Macaroni Kid Aurora Publisher and Editor December 4, 2019

Camp Christmas is located at The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace.  Camp Christmas is a new experience for the family, we did not know what to expect, other than it was going to be an explosion of Christmas at one location.

Prior to going, the kids asked us what it was going to be about and we let them know, this is new to us as well.  Let’s go in with an open mind. The experience was more than we expected and was a fun family outing.  Whether you take the family of all ages or you make it a date night, enjoyment is had by all.

Before you go, make sure to arrive a little early or while your  at it make a day or night of it and check out the local eatery/treat shops at Stanley Marketplace.  The family enjoyed a little exploring after Camp Christmas of all the shops.

Camp Christmas runs Now until January 5, 2020, you sign up for a designated time slot, make sure to get your tickets ahead of time they have known to sell out tickets. No strollers are allowed so if you are taking a little one, they will need to walk or be carried.

Once you have entered Camp Christmas, make sure to stop at the drink hut and get yourself a cocktail or a friendly kid drink of Rudolph by the pool.  We recommend getting a drink at the beginning, because throughout the exhibit there are pics of glasses and this is where you are to stop and cheers!

Camp Christmas is a walk through history of how Christmas came to be, there are a lot of fact cards through the exhibit to educate you on how many of our traditions today have come to be.  There were definitely quite a few that we were unaware of and was quite intrigued by the new knowledge.

Make sure to take a fully charged phone or camera to get pictures and selfies throughout the exhibit.  Plus take a picture in Santa’s Famous sleigh.  The picture taking opportunities are endless.
