As the waves crash against the shore and the tropical birds sing their song, I lay with my eyes closed thinking how this is the perfect vacation spot for our family, to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Let me take you through a little journey so you can see and hear the experience of Azul Riviera Cancun Beach Resort.

Entering the main lobby the glass sliding doors open and you walk into a grand lobby with the amazing smell of tranquility. When you enter you are greeted by a host offering you a refreshment as you head to check in. The hotel staff greets you with great happiness and you get checked in and given your room key. Remember, this is just where you get your key to unlock the journey of the Azul Riviera Cancun Beach Resort.

Walking through the end of the lobby you walk out another set of glass doors that take you to a beautiful covered patio, now it's peaceful and relaxing, at night they like to turn it up with magic shows and dancing with a live band. Then at the end of the patio there is a grand staircase that takes you to the village of rooms, pools, restaurants, beach and more. (Oh and for the Starbucks lovers like me, there is a shop right on the property for you enjoyment!)

Walking through the village you hear kids playing in the pool and laughing as they splash each other, adults chatting away about life, birds chirping over head, and the sun is kissing your skin as you make your way to your home away from home for the next few days. You get to you room and slide the key into the key slot, the door clicks to open. In front of you is a spacious room that is beautifully decorated to make you feel calm and relaxed. As you walk through the room and get to the sliding door that opens up to a beautiful patio where you can enjoy your time, whether it’s getting ready for the day or sitting to reflect on the days activity.

Now that you have gotten settled into the room and have gotten your things put away, hunger strikes as you have been traveling all day. Luckily there are 8 different restaurants to choose from ranging from a daily buffet to a grill on the beach, there is a little something for anyone. If it’s evening time you can go check out the magnificent Le Chique (additional fee) with a variety of courses to get your taste buds working. They take dining at the Azul Riviera Cancun Beach Resort to a whole new level. One of the things that makes this resort standout is that they have baby food and kid favorites always available (chicken nuggets, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and more). This allows us parents to make sure our kids have plenty of options to eat as well. The Gourmet Inclusive dining is something that you will enjoy daily, and be disappointed when you have to leave it behind. Let's not forget that they meet dietary requests, as someone who eats Gluten Free, their were still so many options to choose from, plus they went over the top to make sure my food was served to my allergy!

Snorkeling, Scuba Diving or Kayak, whatever water activities that you may want to tryout or enjoy are available daily. Looking for something for you kids to do, there is a kids club available or a teen club that offers a variety of activities for them to participate while you are on an adventure. The kids waterpark is designed to wear the kids out as they have fun in the sun.

Vacations we often step out of our comfort zone of what we do day to day. Think of sitting on a wood floor with a nice gazebo cover, next to the ocean as the waves crash against the shore, you are learning yoga or Pilates as you are in a tranquil space on the beach. Renew your soul and relax in knowing that you are away from everyday life and the kids are having a blast at the kid club.
As you soak in this vacation from afar and dream about an upcoming trip for your family, know that your room will be amazing. the food will make you full and the kids will have the time of their life (you will too!).
