By Kristin, Chris, Abbi, and Cody Kindred, Macaroni Kid Aurora January 8, 2018

As reading is important in our household it is always hard to find a new book,  especially one that is attention-grabbing, easy to follow along and allows for a little imagination along the way.  If this is the kind of book that you are looking for in your home, make sure to get a copy of “Don’t Forget Dexter,” it’s a book that will please kids of all ages.

The book “Don’t Forget Dexter,” has big letters and good graphics that will keep your early reader wanting to read more.  The story of Dexter is a bit of a mystery as Dexter is a toy dinosaur who believes the child that owns him has forgotten him at the Dr’s office.  I thought of Toy Story when reading it.  Throughout this book, Dexter goes through anxiety, over being replaced by another toy, a toy better than he is. Dexter comes up with a plan to escape the Dr’s office to go find Jack and although it was a failed attempt he at least gave it a try. Then out of nowhere, Jack returns to get Dexter, he has not forgotten after all.  As this being the first book of a series, we are curious as to what of kind adventure Dexter will go on next.

Abbi’s (7 years old) review of the book, she really enjoyed reading the book because she likes that Dexter was on an adventure and it had a happy ending.  Her favorite parts were when Dexter sings his song and then he acts like he is driving a car.

Cody (12 years old) enjoyed reading the book to his 1-year-old sister, he commented that it was easy to read and as you went through the story he never knew what to expect.  He looks forward to reading it to his sister again.

A good read for all ages, that will be enjoyed again and again.  Get your copy today at amazon.com/DontForgetDexter
