Splish Splash Water World Fun

By Kristin Kindred June 14, 2017

It has been about 20 years since I was last at Water World. Since this was the first time we took the family things are a little different when you go with small kids, here is some information to help you navigate your day.  With having three kids 11, 7 and 7 months we have information to make the day a success for everyone.

Our kids love to have snacks through out the day, so taking in food is not the issue, plus we took a little cooler with bottled water (make sure they are all still factory sealed), when taking baby food into the park make sure that it is in the plastic containers and sealed.  Upon entering the park we picked out a picnic table in Wally World to put all our stuff for the day, plus it was a great location to play with Madie (7 month old) in the pool.  Make sure you get lathered up with sunscreen before riding the rides, because there is very little shade and you are in the sun all day. There are lots of rides at Water World that have different height requirements, however that did not slow us down from having any fun.

Once we were sun screened up we headed over to the Lost River of the Pharaohs this was one of my favorite rides as a kid, there is no height requirement on this ride so we were able to take our 7 month old.  This ride requires the riders to carry a large tub up the hill make sure to have everyone pitch in. My husband said after the ride that you would expect this kind of ride at a place such as Disney Land because it had a theme of Indiana Jones as you rafted thru what I could only guess as a ancient pyramid.   The kids loved this ride and definitely wanted to go on it again.  On the way over to the Lost River of the Pharaohs my husband and son stopped to ride White Lightening and they each picked a slide and raced to the bottom! I'd have to say Cody won that round.  Abbi, Madie and I enjoyed watching them race to the bottom.

Lazy River is always a nice place to relax and soak up the sun.  This was a ride that we could all enjoy together, each of us in our own tube and there is no time limit you could just keep going around and around until you had your feel of relaxation. We went to check out Wally World after this and have a little snack.  Wally World is definitely a place that the whole family could enjoy together, there are mini slides, water swings and a little splash pool.  Definitely an area designed for smaller children, although all three Kindred kid's enjoyed playing there.

If you do not pack a lunch, there are a variety of places to eat and they were all reasonably priced. Some of the options available were Personal Pizzas, Nachos, BBQ, Mac and Cheese, Burgers and much more.  On this trip we did not have the opportunity to check out all the different dining options, however they had a variety to choose from.  After lunch the adventured continued.

Mile High Flyer was the next ride on this list, Chris and the two older kids went and it was a water roller coaster!  Definitely not to be missed.  In this area of the park was the area that most of the rides for 42" inches and shorter were located.  This was a place that we would set-up base on our future trip, because of the number of rides available for the older kids to ride and there wading pool was nice and warm which Madie loved splashing in.  The one ride in this area that the kids could not get enough of was Monkey Business a two person tube ride that was quick and fun.  The kids went on this ride at least 3 or 4 times.

Before leaving the park we had to enjoy a funnel cake.  As we walked to our car to end the day we talked about all the great rides we went on and what rides we would love to ride the next time we come.  Water World is still as fun as it was when I went as kid and I look forward to bringing the family back again to enjoy another fun day in the sun!

Publisher was given passes to enjoy the park for the day and all opinions are that of the publishers which are based on her day at the waterpark.
