I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...Are we at Spring Break yet? Lately it just seems too much, I am wondering how my kids are dealing with it if all of the adults seem just done and over it. I am looking forward to some sleeping in, lazy days, and serious family time.

And apparently I need some more free lazy time to just mess around with the kids. Tonight at dinner they were asking question after question about when they were little. What was their first word, what was the naughtiest thing they did, what did they like to eat. And then my son said he knew what his and his dad's show was (The Backyardigans). Well, I guess I was feeling left out because I totally sold out my husband and told my son that the only reason their dad "spent time" watching cartoons with them was so that he could sleep while they were occupied. It is actually a trick that he uses to this day when he gets my daughter from school. I am still trying to feel bad about spilling the secret.

The thing is, though, at my grandmother's funeral my uncle spoke of what a wonderful mother she was. How she was always there, how she was comforting, how she knew what they needed. It was such a wonderful speech, one that I could only hope that I am deserving enough to receive one day.

So I will just put one foot in front of another and keep doing the things that I should, keep trying to follow the example both of my beautiful grandmother's gave me.

Enjoy your spring break...every single minute.
