It is snowing outside and we just passed Christmas and the LAST thing I want to think about is next fall and the start of the new year when my mind is refusing to even think about summer for fear I will go into hibernation until signs of unscheduled days are in front of me. But think about fall is what I must do since applications for schools are due soon. If you are applying for charter or magnet schools, or even if you are trying to choice-in somewhere those application deadlines are soon!
I will admit that with all of the scary things I see on the news I am so tempted to home-school. How great would it be to not have to leave your house AT ALL on days like these? But then I see how much my kids love their teachers...and how much they drive me crazy during breaks. There is something about the relationships that are made and the life lessons learned that make drudging out in this snow worth it.
Maybe I could invent that car from the Jetsons. I mean, you can't really slip when you are flying, right?
