"A Christmas Carol" Review

By Vicki Little, Publisher and Editor Aurora and Downtown Denver Macaroni Kid December 10, 2014
There is something awesome about spending an evening at the theatre with a loved one. Sharing the awe and wonder of the story unfolding before you, the emotions the actors envoke, and the message that is being played out is a great way to spend time together.

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens has long been a favorite story of mine. It is the perfect Christmas story to remind us of the meaning of the season. This is the second year my son and I have gone to the play together as a special date, and this is the second year we have left amazed at how wonderfully the actors played out the story of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Though the venue is getting older and some of the seats could use some refurbishing, it simply adds to the nostalgic feeling of the theatre. The set was beautiful, with little details that added so much to an already beautiful play. The three spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future were wonderfully cast and had the audience competely engaged in the scene before them.

I was given two free tickets for the purpose of performing this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
