MAC KID'S 2014 GOLD DAISY AWARD: NOMINATE TODAY!

Let the nominations for the 2014 Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy (formerly Family Choice) Awards begin! Why daisies? Well, daisies have played a significant role since the inception of Macaroni Kid nationally in 2008. For the more than 550 editions published nationwide, daisies symbolize achievement and the best of local family fun. The Gold Daisy Awards are used uniformly through the various Macaroni Kid sites, so when you see a winner you know they are recommended by the Macaroni Kid family! Like the children’s daisy game “She loves me, She loves me not,” this award asks parents to PICK the best of the best. Macaroni Kid's Gold Daisy Awards recognize the most beloved local businesses for kids and families.


Throughout the year, Macaroni Kid brings you the scoop. Now it is YOUR turn to tell us about the businesses that just plain make your life easier as a parent!

THE CATEGORIES
We want to know your family's top go-to choices to enrich, entertain, and exhaust your kids, as well as the businesses that just make your life as a parent a little easier!

• Exhaust and Enrich Your Kids (classes and lessons)
• Entertain Your Kids (places to go to play and have fun)
• Celebrate with Your Kids (party ideas)
• Feed Your Kids ... and Yourself (restaurants, including dessert)
• Take Care of Your Kids ... and Yourself (services)
• Take Care of Your Kids ... and Yourself (shopping)
• Wellness for Your Family (health practitioners)
• One Last Thing ... OK, two (just to make sure we've covered it all)

THE SCHEDULE

• Nominations are open from now until Nov. 11th, 2014 at 8:00 PM.
• The top 3-5 businesses in each category with the most online nominations will move on to the voting round starting Nov. 19th, 2014.
• Voting will close on Dec. 16th, 2014.
• Winners will be announced on Dec. 19th, 2014.

THE RULES

• Nominate as many or as few businesses as you would like. You must nominate in at least five categories to be eligible for the prize drawing.  
• Only one nomination or vote per email address please.
• Businesses must be located in Aurora, with a few exceptions that we have noted.
• You must be a subscriber to the Macaroni Kid Aurora newsletter in order to nominate and vote. You can subscribe here.

What's In It For You

What's In It For the Businesses
Winning businesses will receive year-long recognition in our Macaroni Kid Business Directory, a 2014 Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Award certificate to display at their place of business, inclusion in our newsletter announcing the winning businesses, a Macaroni Kid GOLD Daisy Award Winner logo for their website, and the honor of knowing that local Aurora  families think they are the greatest!
