New EP RADIO DOWN! continues the Orange County, CA's band's tradition of writing catchy, new wave-inspired tracks, infused with The Aquabats!' inimitable sense of fun. Singer Christian Jacobs AKA The MC Bat Commander is the co-creator of award-winning hit children's TV series Yo Gabba Gabba!.

CHRISTIAN JACOBS
Co-creator, Yo Gabba Gabba!
Growing up as an actor in Los Angeles, California, Christian Jacobs appeared in numerous commercials, television shows and films including John Hughes' cult classic Pretty in Pink and the skateboarding classic Gleaming the Cube.

Jacobs later partnered with old friend Scott Schultz to produce and direct a number of skateboarding and music videos, and Jacobs moonlighted in various rock bands by night.  In 1994, Jacobs co-founded and fronted the cartoon rock band The aquabats, which still garners a huge cult following and has toured around the world.  Inspired by 1970's Saturday morning cartoons, B-movies and Japanese super-monster-movies, The Aquabats have continued to entertain music fans and to play to sell-out crowds for over a decade.

Jacobs and Schultz started The Magic Store productions in 2004 and co-created Yo Gabba Gabba! to watch with their own young children. Incorporating all of their own influences and inspirations, and borrowing a couple of characters from The Aquabats, the duo independently wrote, produced and directed pilot episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba! Jacobs currently lives in Southern California with his wife and children.
