Welcome to Aurora Macaroni Kid!

A letter from the Publisher

I hope that your Mother's Day was just as perfect as mine. My husband unfortunately couldn't be with us, so I spent some time with my dad and then my kids "took" me out to dinner at Mt. Fuji. We have been to Hibachi before, so I was suprised at the sheer terror in my daughter when she first saw the fire on the other table. She literally got up and tried to run out of the restaurant. She then moved her chair, her plate, her napkin and silverware and her menu so it wouldn't "get fired". I finally got her calmed down, and when they started cooking at our table, she scooted down so far in her chair her head was touching the seat so she couldn't see the fire. I covered her eyes when it got real high, and then finally calmed her down and she enjoyed the rest of her meal. As we were leaving the restaurant, she goes "look how cool the fire on THAT table looks mommy!" At least she enjoyed it at some point!

I absolutely can't believe that Friday is my son's preschool graduation. My heart is breaking in that pride-filled way. He will be heading to kindergarten and my daughter to preschool. I am telling you, the last time I looked my son was 2 and putting stickers all over my newborn daughter because he thought she looked better that way.

I also had a fantastic night out with some of my blogging gals for movie night. That review is included in the newsletter. The big news is that I actually took the lightrail. I never thought I would, but I did, and I had fun with the extra time it gave me and my friends to chat about being moms and other stuff we wanted to talk about! I haven't been downtown in a long time. It was a beautiful night and always an experience!

I hope that you have a wonderful and event-filled week! And thanks for reading!
