I have been lost this week. I work from home in more than one way, so I have one desktop computer for my "real job" and I have my laptop. My laptop is my lifeline. I love it. It is always near me. This weekend, we had a disaster of monumental proportions (at least for me). My kids had their water in the living room (that is the only drink they are allowed to have in that room). My son reached for my daughter, and in her desperation of not letting him touch her water, she lifted it over her head, and it splashed all over my keyboard as I typed. I figured it would be fine, it has happened before. But I made a mistake. The door knocked and I THOUGHT I turned off my computer, but I didn't. And so instead of drying out, it simply fried. All I can think about is all of my hard work on that computer. I know that I can get it off of there somehow, but it just makes me want to cry. I wish I could splurge on an IPad, but is just isn't going to happen. Thank Goodness that right now we are smack dab in the center of back to school deals on computers woo hoo! Too bad my kiddo's don't have allowance yet. I would totally make them pay for it. Stinkers.
