9:15a.m-Baby Storytime at Smoky Hill Library

Baby Storytimes introduce the sounds and rhythms of language to our youngest library users ages 0-2. Nursery rhymes, songs, and the simplest of stories build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Parents and caregivers should plan on participating with their children in these Storytimes. Reservations are required.

10:00a.m.-Toddler Storytime at Smoky Hill Library

Designed for eager young learners ages 2-3, Toddler Storytime consists of fun, simple picture books, fingerplays, rhymes and songs. Parents and caregivers are asked to join their children and participate in the activities. Reservations are required.

10:45a.m.-Preschool Storytime at Smoky Hill Library

Preschool Storytime is built with exciting picture books, poems, fingerplays, songs, puppets, and occasionally a simple craft or game. Parents and caregivers are not required to participate in Preschool Storytime. Ages 4-6. Reservations are required.

4:00p.m.-Bilingual Family Storytime at Smoky Hill Library

Designed for families with children of various ages to enjoy as a group, Family Storytime features picture books, rhymes, songs, and play. For all ages but geared to ages 3-5. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay and participate in Family Storytimes. Reservations are required.

10:00a.m.-R.I.S.E Storytimes and Parent Literacy Class at Central Library

Read. Imagine. Share. Explore. 3-5 years old with adult. The Center for Hearing Speech and Language will provide an environment that will give parents and children the opportunity to practice pre-literacy skills. These classes are especially suited for English as a Second Language Learners. Parent class themes include: Expressing Needs and Feelings, Establishing Independence, Understanding What Families Value, Sharing and Cooperating, and Self-Possibilities. Registration required for the children attending and open one month in advance: 303-739-6626. Parents don’t need to register.
