Welcome to Aurora Macaroni Kid
Slow down!!!!!!
My husband and I work quite the opposite hours. And we both want to witness all the firsts. There positive thing is that one of us is ALWAYS there for the firsts, even if the other gets jealous. Until today. We both missed a HUGE milestone of our daughter's. Her first potty on the big girl potty.
I was actually working on the newsletter when my son came out of my bedroom declaring that my daughter is getting to be a big girl and should probably learn how to ...
Mother's Day Craft

- Puffy paint or a thin Sharpie (something that will write on the foam…regular markers will only run)
- Hot glue gun
- Glue
- Pencil
- Favorite photo of your kiddos (you could also use one of them with grandma, or whoever the recipient of the flower is going to be).
- Scissors
- Little hands for tracing
- Paint stirrer (you can get these for free at any paint store or Home Depot or Lowes)

SafeSplash Swim School: Part 3
The monkeys on the ceiling are just the beginning of the fun!
Editors Note: This is the third article in a three part series on SafeSplash Swim School. Part one was an overview of SafeSplash swim school and part two was a personal review of my son’s experience with SafeSplash Swim School.
Kids that love to swim want a swim party. At some point it seems inevitable. If you have a winter baby, obviously you need to find an indoor pool that will cater to this. If you have a summer baby, you may still want to choose this route since ...
The Plains Conservation Center
Activities, fun and day camps, too!
You may have noticed that sprinkled through the newsletters you will often see some fun activities that occur at the Plains Conservation Center. They have a surprising amount of activities actually. They currently have new chicks in for the kids to see and squeal over, they have opportunities to feed the cows, there are moonlit walks, nature hikes and sketching, flower identifying…..the list really does seem endless. This summer, they even have Day Camps to keep your children busy and out in the fresh air and sunshine!

Macaroni Advice: Ask Grandma

I’m a believer in starting small with grand kids, just the way they start small and get bigger.
For example:
Have you spent a whole day with your grandchild? Has he done an overnight before? With you? If yes, how did it go? If no, that’s the first step before a trip.
